The City of Tulsa Human Rights Commission will host a Connecting Cultures Seminar for the community on Friday, September 23 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Fulton Teaching and Learning Academy.  The seminar will focus on understanding cultures and  strengthening relationships with the Arab, Muslim, and Sikh (AMS) communities. It is intended to contribute useful, accurate and meaningful information to increase participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities to enhance their cultural interactions.

This seminar is a continuation of the effort of the Department of Justice, Community Relations Service (CRS) who promoted and held a number of community dialogues to inform and educate communites about the AMS Cultures.  Participants will be able to meet and interact with others who are contributing to the safety and positive interaction between law enforcement, various agencies and AMS community members.
